Stress evaluation usually needs long electrocardiogram (ECG) data at least five minutes to calculate heart rate variability. Therefore, it is difficult to apply the conventional method in case of a situation requiring real-time assessment. To overcome this problem, in this study, we focused on tone-entropy analysis and evaluated individual stress during performing physical and cognitive tasks with shorter ECG data. As a result, even one-minute ECG data kept the accuracy of calculation results comparing five-minute data. Furthermore, we found that the tone-entropy method might be able to detect qualitatively different kinds of stress between physical and cognitive load. |
