Low Power Wide Area (LPWA) is a major communication technology for the Internet of Things (IoT) because of its low power consumption, long-distance communication, and low cost. However, LPWA-enabled sensor networks have various constraints, such as scalability constraints due to networking with unique communication protocols. In a previous study, we implemented and introduced the TCP/IP function to the Private LoRa device, one of the LPWA. This made it possible to directly connect the LPWA sensor to the Internet, but the TCP communication performance was poor. In this paper, we will propose a packet transmission control method to improve TCP communication performance, one of the LPWA. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method, we will evaluate the communication performance using TCP flow. |
