A Study of Millimeter-Wave Wireless Network for Realization of Wire-Free Robots

(in English) There are many wires inside mechatronic devices and robots. We call replacing the wiring inside the devices with wireless as “a wireless harness”, and have been conducting research since 2009, ahead of others. In this research, in addition to controlling by wireless communication in the 60 GHz band and supplying electric power by non-contact method, the robot is ready to assemble and has the ability to work cooperatively. This paper reports on the status of basic studies on millimeter-wave wireless networks.
