A Study on Quality Control Based on Consumer Demands in Small and Medium-sized Manufacturing Industries

(in English) This study underscores the importance of quality management based on consumer demands for small and medium-sized manufacturing businesses in the future. It surveys these businesses to ascertain the current situation and identify challenges, and then explores solutions to these challenges. In recent years, with the arrival of a global society, the diversification of consumers and the rapid change in what they demand, it is crucial for small and medium-sized manufacturers to accurately grasp consumer demands and provide products and services to meet them. Quality control to realize these offerings is indispensable for maintaining and enhancing competitiveness. However, the survey revealed that while these manufacturers recognize the need to investigate consumer demands for quality management, they are either not doing it in practice or cannot do it. Therefore, this study identifies the problems therein and discusses the use of digital technology to realize quality management based on consumer demands.
