We have been working on the practical application of 28 GHz-band VNA based on six-port method, which is a kind of the homodyne systems. We have developed a reference signal source by commercial products of a synthesizer and a few amplifiers. In combination with the signal source and a simplified correlator, the transmission coefficient was measured in 28 GHz-band, and it have sufficient performance as a VNA signal source. For the purpose to expand the measurement frequency and reduce the cost, we developed a millimeter wave signal source using Non-Linear Transmission Line (NLTL) and evaluated the prototype. |
