Consideration on Sound Source Distance Measurement by Complex Sparse Bayesian Estimation Using a Small Microphone Array System

(in English) In this study, we aim to measure the distance to a sound source by sparse Bayesian estimation using a small-scale microphone array. For this purpose, the real space Bayesian estimation in our previous study using only distance decay information is extended to complex estimation including phase information. We have shown that the distance to a sinusoidal signal can be increased by this method, but it is difficult to measure the distance to two sources of the same frequency simultaneously. When the source signal is speech, the sparsity of the time-frequency of the speech signal makes it possible to range two sources.
