A Study on Bearing Only Target Motion Analysis and Anomalous DOA Detection Using Multi-Sensors

(in English) In order to realize electromagnetic environment monitoring for reducing risks of the electromagnetic interference, there is a need for the technique to estimate trajectories of suspicious radio sources in multipath-rich environments. BWIV, which estimates the state vector from observed asynchronous DOA (Direction Of Arrival) information, is one of the conventional methods of bearing only TMA (Target Motion Analysis) for a single moving target. To address the issue, we propose SBWIV (Short-time Bayesian Weighted Instrumental Variable) which estimates trajectories by dividing the observed information at short time intervals and performing BWIV respectively, and the methods to detect anomalous DOA observation. We demonstrated the effectiveness of our proposed methods for accuracy in bearing only TMA for complex motions from multi-sensors in multipath-rich environment through simulations.
