Future network infrastructures will need to provide network services safely and rapidly under complex conditions such as multi-devices, multi-access, and multi-carriers. For this reason, it is essential to improve the efficiency of pre-verification for a large number of devices to ensure safety and security and combination verification for a large number of devices and the modules constituting the network infrastructure to achieve optimal network settings. In this paper, we propose a Network Digital Replica that can create a copy of a network in a digital space to verify network devices digitally. The aim of this technique is to predict the effects of changing external environments and to verify the performance of network equipment and network designs in a digital environment, with the ultimate goal of deriving optimal network designs for previously unseen external environments. In this paper, we outline the configuration of the Network Digital Replica for deriving optimal network designs in changing external environments and discuss the challenges that need to be addressed. Specifically, we focus on a network node modeling technique proposed in our architecture, which involves estimating the performance of network nodes using machine learning. |
