(in English) In recent years, Japan's birthrate has been declining and the population has been aging at an accelerating rate. The increase in the elderly population will increase the burden of nursing care and medical costs, and measures are required to address this issue. Currently, preventive medicine approaches to extend healthy life expectancy are attracting attention as a short-term solution to this problem. Among various approaches to extend healthy life expectancy, we have focused on “walking,” which is easy for anyone to do. We believe that the quality of exercise can be improved and healthy life expectancy extended by predicting heart rate while walking and providing feedback. In this paper, we report on our study of the optimal heart rate prediction time by real-time heart rate prediction and feedback control.
