Design of an Efficient Activity Classification Model Focusing on the Characteristics of Egocentric Videos

(in English) There are situations where egocentric videos have to be processed on wearable devices with limited computational resources. In this study, we design a model for efficient activity classification with only one layer of training by incorporating reservoir computing, a fast machine learning method for time-series pattern recognition. We propose a method to separate entire scene dynamics and salient local motion. Also, we consider an aggregation method of reservoir states suitable for oscillating input, and show that those modifications improve the accuracy on a specific egocentric activity classification dataset.
