In resent years, with the spread of Social Networking Service (SNS), a phenomenon called flaming in which many slander comments occur in SNS, has become a social problem. Video sharing services such as YouTube have quite a lot of users. However, there are few studies that analyze flaming focusing on users' emotions that appeared in the comments of social media videos.
Therefore, this study proposes a method for analyzing flaming in YouTube videos using a combination of sentiment analysis and principal component analysis with comment data from YouTube videos. Using the proposal analysis method, we analyzed comment data of controversial videos and non-controversial videos on YouTube. This study confirmed the characteristic of controversial videos, which are flooded with comments containing negative emotions, and the rate of decrement in comments is slower compared to non-controversial videos. In addition, we found that there are many sarcastic comments in controversial videos, such comments tend to receive more likes, and potentially become as the trigger for further flaming. |
