Analysis of Transmission Delay Jitter in C-V2X Sidelink Communication

(in English) In C-V2X (Cellular-Vehicle to Everything), one of the major technologies in Intelligent Transport Systems, side link communication, in which vehicles communicate directly with each other, is standardized, and the SB-SPS (Sensing Based Semi-Persist Scheduling (SB-SPS) method is used for resource control. Although several theoretical analyses have been proposed for vehicular communications using sidelink communication, there has been no attempt to clarify the distribution characteristics of transmission delay jitter mathematically.
This paper presents a theoretical analysis of transmission delay jitter characteristics in C-V2X sidelink communication. It is shown that the distribution characteristics of jitter can be obtained by obtaining the steady-state probabilities from the state transition model of transmission delay combinations. The validity of this analysis method is demonstrated by comparing the results with computer simulation results.
