(in English) The damage caused by crop pests and diseases in the agricultural sector is enormous, and this is one of the global issues. In Japan, there is also the problem of aging farmers and a shortage of labor. To cope with these problems, deep learning using images of pests and diseases has recently begun to be applied. In this study, we focus not only on pests but also on their severity and use machine learning models to analyze the dependence between the two and obtain valid data.
