In this work, we propose a strategy based on deep neural networks (DNNs) intended to support our past DNN method for direction of arrival (DOA) estimation, whose performance was degraded due to radio waves with narrow DOA range. This new strategy, which leverages the great learning power of DNNs based on the available training dataset, is based on decomposition into DNNs with better angle spectra precision when the radio waves impinge at close DOAs. Through computer simulations, we have demonstrated the improvement in DOA estimation at higher SNRs and hence the viability of this new scheme that couples the proposed strategy with our past method. |
