Wire-harnesses are an important element in electromagnetic noise propagation in vehicles, but because many electric wires run parallel and branch, analyzing their propagation is not simple. To solve this, a method is proposed that formally models the branching harness as if it were a single wire bundle by repeating the operation of virtually folding the harness at the branching point, providing better analysis prospects. Because it is a principled method, it can be similarly applied to circuit board patterns. The validity of the proposed method has been confirmed using a simple system in which two lines run closely parallel in some parts and are coupled, where the calculation results are compared with an existing circuit simulator, and the agreement is verified. |
