Underwater radio communications leverage the coaxial structure formed by the hollow cylindrical concrete foundation of offshore wind farms submerged in seawater, exhibiting the potential for long-distance communication. Distributed circuit theory is used to analyze the propagation constants of the model under TEM coaxial-mode. The agreement of results between distributed circuit theory and full-wave simulation is obtained at the frequency from 1 MHz to 50 MHz, demonstrating that the coaxial-mode analysis can be utilized to rapidly estimate the electrical characteristics of the proposed model without considering higher-order modes. |
