Coaxial-Mode Analysis of Radio Propagation Utilizing Hollow Cylindrical Concrete Structures in Seawater

(in English) Underwater radio communications leverage the coaxial structure formed by the hollow cylindrical concrete foundation of offshore wind farms submerged in seawater, exhibiting the potential for long-distance communication. Distributed circuit theory is used to analyze the propagation constants of the model under TEM coaxial-mode. The agreement of results between distributed circuit theory and full-wave simulation is obtained at the frequency from 1 MHz to 50 MHz, demonstrating that the coaxial-mode analysis can be utilized to rapidly estimate the electrical characteristics of the proposed model without considering higher-order modes.
