It is important to identify the suspected fault location quickly in order to realize the early restoration in the failure response work of a large-scale network. So far, we have proposed a technique to estimate the fault location by if-then rules, where types of events that occur from devices compose the condition. However, existing methods aim monitoring in a single layer, and the event which becomes an if-condition is extracted from the range with the direct connection to the fault location in a single layer. Therefore, the adoption of events considering the relationship between different layers has not been possible in networks monitored and managed through multiple layers such as large-scale networks.
In this paper, we propose a method to generalize the search of the occurrence range of events as a condition of a fault identification rule based on the network resource management technology, which can be managed in a general data format independent of the communication network type. We also demonstrate the usefulness of the proposed method by verifying rule learning and fault location in a simulated network. |
