Experiment of Synchronization phenomena in rocking robots on a suspension bridge

(in English) The phenomenon in which multiple periodic phenomena with different phases have same rhythms by interaction and external forces is called synchronization phenomenon. In this study, we confirm the mutual synchronization of suspension bridge and walking robots and consider the phenomenon by using coupled impact oscillator model. In preparation for experiment, we create simple robots and suspension bridge. As a result, we confirmed the synchronization phenomenon in the experiment using an actual machine, and mathematical model of walking on a suspension bridge shows alike the experiment results.
