Densification and Electrical Properties of LiNbO3 Ceramics Koshi Yamanaka, Noriko Bamba (Shinshu Uni) ED2024-2 CPM2024-2 SDM2024-9 |

In this work, we aimed to achieve higher density by changing the firing temperature in the second stage of the two-step firing, and also attempted to evaluate the electrical properties of LiNbO3 ceramics sintered between LixNbO3 ceramics or single crystals. Even if the firing temperature was changed, grain growth and densification of LiNbO3 ceramics sandwiched between Li-excessive LixNbO3 (x>1.0) ceramics were promoted, and a higher density was obtained than that sandwiched between single crystals. In the case of LiNbO3 ceramic sintered between LixNbO3 ceramics with excess Nb (x<1.0), both grain growth and densification were suppressed compared to that with excess Li, but there was a tendency for the density to increase as the Nb content increased. The lowest density was obtained when LiNbO3 ceramic was sandwiched between LiNbO3 (x=1.0) and sintered. Although the resonance was smaller than that of LiNbO3 ceramics made using single crystals, resonance was confirmed in LiNbO3 ceramics made using both Li- and Nb-excessive LixNbO3 ceramics. |
