This paper examines the sidewalk riding detection of slow vehicles by viewpoint transformation and image segmentation. We generate sidewalk viewpoint images by viewpoint transforming roadway driving images in order to reduce time generating training data. Evaluation images are segmented using the transfer-learned model with roadway riding images and generated sidewalk viewpoint images. Through this process, we detect riding environments by identifying the most frequent class in the ROI(Region of Interest) of segmentation images. We experimented on three different routes and compared training data generated by viewpoint transformation and training data generated manually. The evaluation indices were accuracy and generation time. As a result, training data generation time by viewpoint transformation could be reduced half to maintain more than 82% of the performance of handwork training data. |
