In order to tackle the super-aging society, our research group has been conducting research and development of smart systems and services that support elderly people at home. One of our novel technologies is the "Kokoro Sensing" with a voice interactive agent, Mei-chan. In the Kokoro Sensing, Mei-chan tries to externalizes elderly person's internal states as "words" through active conversation, and records the words as contextual data, which cannot be observed by IoT sensors and cameras. In addition, Mei-chan provides various support in cooperation with various microservices, according to the situation and requests of the elderly. In this invited talk, the system overview and architecture of Mei-chan will be overviewed, and the latest research results will be presented. |
