Edge-Enhanced Branch for Deep Learning-Based Motion Deblurring

(in English) It is important to restore edge information to obtain a visually clear image in video deblurring. In this paper, we propose an auxiliary edge-enhanced branch for video motion deblurring models using deep learning. In general, background areas in the image with little motion have more edge information, whereas moving object areas lacks high-frequency components. Thus we propose a branch that extracts only the edge information of the moving objects by calculating the pixel-wise inner product between the entire edge image obtained by the Sobel filter and the optical flow representing motion in the image in order to emphasize only the edges of moving objects excluding the background. In this work, we add this edge-enhanced branch to the network of the conventional method, and aim to further improve the accuracy of motion deblurring by focusing on restoring the edge information of the moving objects.
