Alignment of Outlook Sentences in Annual Reports of Accounts

(in English) Annual Report published by companies contains important information for investors, such as business performance forecast and business plan. Additionally, comparing the descriptions of outlook change can provide more useful insights. However, novice investors will have to work to analyze the reports. Therefore, we propose a method for aligning outlook sentences that appear in the chronologically arranged Reports. Specifically, we compare a method that uses sentence similarity, a method that uses a large language model, and a method that combines these two models. The results show that the combined method is more effective than the ones which use each model alone. Specifically, the performance of the combined method improves by 2-3 points compared to the method using sentence similarity and by 1 point compared to the method using a large language model with F1 of micro average.
