"Programming Learning Support System based on Understanding using Generative AI"

(in English) It is feared that by 2030 there will be a shortage of up to 790,000 engineers. Recurrent education is one of the countermeasures. However, there are problems such as a lack of motivation due to the lack of understanding of the problem group caused by differences in individual comprehension. In this study, we conducted an experiment to investigate the difference in comprehension between solving problems without using a generative AI and with a generative AI, in order to create a system that improves comprehension and motivation by suggesting solutions to problems and promoting understanding. The number of respondents who answered "4" or "5" (easy to understand) increased to nearly 80% with the use of the generative AI, compared to zero respondents who answered "4" or "5" (easy to understand) without the use of the generative AI. This indicates that the use of "Planning and Solution Prompts" in the Generative AI facilitates comprehension.
