Image Classification of Natural Objects and Man-Made Objects Using Deep Learning -- Classification of Real Dogs and Stuffed Dogs --

(in English) To acquire comprehensive insights into distinguishing natural from man-made objects, we conducted image classification using real dogs and stuffed dogs. A dataset of images was assembled and deep neural network (DNN) based transfer learning was employed for classification. Several types of DNN architectures were evaluated, achieving a maximum accuracy exceeding 98%. Subsequently, misclassified images were subjected to a questionnaire, examining instances where human perception aligned with or diverged from DNN classifications. Additionally, we explored algorithms aimed at enhancing classification precision, leveraging Grad-CAM for visualizing focal areas within images and semantic segmentation techniques.
