Automated delivery systems, such as automated delivery robots, are currently attracting attention in Japan as a means of reducing labor shortages in the logistics industry. Obstacle detection using radar is effective as a means of avoiding
rear-end collisions, which is one of the challenges faced by automatic delivery robots. In this study, we use synthetic aperture radar (SAR) to improve the resolution. In addition, the antenna mounted on a rotating stand is considered for the detection
of obstacles in all directions. In this paper, as a basic study, simulations are performed using various parameters. This paper discusses the characteristics of the antenna-rotating SAR by changing various parameters and performing simulations as a basic
study. In addition, for the purpose of detecting surrounding targets with the antenna on the rotating platform, data is acquired by the rotating antenna type SAR and image reconstruction is performed. In the experiments in this paper, a three-sided corner
reflector is used as a target object, and image reconstruction is performed based on the acquired data using a network analyzer to show that image reconstruction is possible. |
