This paper proposes an aerial base station (ABS) system suppressing equipment costs while assuming a battery life cycle and optimizes the trajectory of UAVs to maximize the covered user ratio.Our proposed method uses unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) performing delivery and/or monitoring as ABSs.The proposed method allows these UAVs to move on a redundant trajectory, guaranteeing the quality of their original tasks.To reveal the characteristics of the proposed method, we propose a fundamental model focusing on the behavior of UAVs in a limited area and controlling the number of UAVs passing through the area depending on the number of users with traffic demand. Our simulation results showed that in the proposed model, decreasing the UAV speeds involved decreasing the number of UAVs required to satisfy the constraint condition by 66.4%. |
