A study on improving noise immunity in localization method using BLE

(in English) When residents of nursing homes or similar facilities leave their premises, there is a demand for accurate localization of residents using BLE technology. However, wireless communications like BLE face challenges such as CNR degradation with distance ,which hinders precise localization. To increase the distance of localization and facilitate resident identification, it is necessary to improve noise immunity. In localization of BLE5.1 using an array antenna, phase detection of antenna elements is typically performed every 1 µs or 2 µs. We propose extending this period and improving noise immunity by averaging the detected signals. The effectiveness of the proposed approach will be demonstrated through computer simulations and validated through field experiments.
