Research on the Influence of Degree-Granting Programs on Lifelong Learning

(in English) The purpose of this study is to examine the significance of degree completion in the context of the growing importance of lifelong learning in a changing society. This study examined the significance of awarding degree through the NIAD-QE credit transfer system by conducting a follow-up survey of 25,000 graduates over the past 30 years. The analysis revealed that degree meaningfulness was strongly correlated with satisfaction, and furthermore, that there were different patterns across majors. The findings suggest that degrees have greater significance when they are linked to an individual's motivation to learn and professional development.
