Performance verification of flower direction pointing control system through flight experiments for realization of bee drone

(in English) Drones are increasingly utilized for practical tasks such as transportation, pesticide and fertilizer spraying, and seed planting. To realize such tasks, it is necessary to accurately detect a direction of targets and precisely direct an end effector on the drone to the target. The authors have made research and development for the drone system that performs pollination tasks in orchards on behalf of humans by using the flower direction pointing control system. This paper describes the configuration of the flower direction pointing control system so far together with its performances and results of flight experiment. It is verified that the flower direction pointing control system meets the required pointing accuracy.
