Prompt engineering methods for estimation and analysis of latent parameters using generative AI

(in English) The accuracy of generative AI outputs largely depends on the prompts given by users. This study explores prompts that enable generative AI to make highly accurate estimations of values that are otherwise difficult to infer. Specifically, we propose a method to suppress hallucinations by encouraging generative AI to break down questions into subcomponents and leverage general knowledge as parameters for computation. By designing appropriate prompts, we aim to maximize the logical reasoning capabilities of generative AI and improve the accuracy of estimation tasks that were challenging with conventional prompts.
