Proposal of a method for understanding the process status of tasks that span multiple operations using operation logs

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In IT infrastructure construction work, workers perform multitasking tasks using multiple business systems and IT tools. On the other hand, it is expected that the use of operation logs can provide a third-party view of task progress and isolate the cause of problems when they occur, even for operations that cross over systems. However, because operation logs are granular and contain a large amount of useless information, it is difficult to properly map them to task progress. In this proposal, we propose a method to automatically map operation logs to the progress status of complex tasks that are performed while switching between business systems and IT tools via GUI operation, and to visualize the progress status of tasks and problem areas. We evaluated the proposed method on operation logs with multiple work status patterns, and confirmed that the method can correctly grasp the status of workers except for some specific cases.
