(in English) Modern radar systems utilize digital signal processing technology to achieve pulse compression and pulse Doppler filtering. Digital beamforming radar systems with digital element arrays are emerging, marking digital radar's final form. In this talk, we propose computational radar as the next generation of radar systems following digital radar.. Computational radar leverages advanced mathematical optimization and machine learning technologies to enhance object locating and imaging capabilities of current digital radar systems. Furthermore, treating radar as a vision sensor introduces new perception and semantic capabilities that are first ever employed in radars. This presentation will explore related academic trends and introduce Mitsubishi Electric's fundamental research efforts toward realizing computational radar.
