The transition from 4G to 5G has led to higher frequencies, resulting in reduced coverage.
To mitigate coverage holes, we are exploring the application of an analog radio-on-fiber (A-RoF) link. However, when supplementing part of the fiber transmission path with wireless relays, it is necessary to consider not only the nonlinear response of the optical modulator but also the nonlinear response caused by the electrical amplifier.
Therefore, we investigated a method to adaptively combine and compensate for the nonlinear responses of the optical modulation section (handling low-power signals) and the electrical amplification section (handling high-power signals) using deep reinforcement learning, and evaluated its characteristics. |
