Underwater acoustic positioning is known to be affected by multipath, Doppler shift, and noise, and there is a need for countermeasures against these effects. In this study, we introduced Doppler shift correction using the IR-GCC-PHAT algorithm and the CAF method, which are time difference arrival measurement algorithms that are robust to sound wave reflections, to USBL-based positioning. We report on the results of a positioning evaluation to confirm the effectiveness of these methods. |
