Deep Learning-Based Estimation of Interpersonal Relationships from Camera Images

(in English) Automatic identification of interpersonal relationships (e.g., acquaintances vs. strangers) from camera footage has promising applications in fields such as digital signage and security surveillance. We are studying a method for estimating the relationships between individuals in real time based on their movements captured by a monocular camera. The proposed method utilizes deep learning to infer relationships from acquired video data. Evaluation of this method in simulation achieved an AUC of 0.99 using LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory).
