In this paper, we present a robust adaptive algorithm to estimate the Koopman operator in the presence of impulsive noise.
To obtain the robustness, the data fidelity term of the instantaneous cost function is designed as a composition of the minimax concave penalty and the distance function with respect to a certain closed halfspace.
A certain regularization term is added for solidating the robustness as well as convexifying the overall cost function.
This allows us to adopt the adaptive projected subgradient method (APSM) cite{yamada2002efficient}.
Simulation results show remarkable advantages of the proposed algorithm with respect to robustness in the task of estimating nonlinear dynamical systems in the presence of impulsive noise. |
