(in English) Sixth-generation (6G) mobile communication systems are expected to incorporate AI (artificial intelligence) / ML (machine learning) across devices, radio access, and networks to enable more intelligent control and operation of wireless systems. Within this context, an AI-native air interface (AI-AI) has been proposed, wherein the air interface is optimized end-to-end while accounting for hardware capabilities and radio propagation conditions, with the objective of delivering application-required data with maximal efficiency. To realize this concept, an AI-based pilotless transmission scheme has been introduced. We previously evaluated its efficacy via indoor experiments and emulator-based studies. This paper advances toward practical deployment by reporting outdoor field trials conducted in two distinct environments and providing a detailed performance assessment. The results indicate that pilotless transmission can be sustained under highly time-varying channel conditions characteristic of outdoor environments and that it achieves measurable throughput gains. These findings substantiate the practical viability of AI-enabled pilotless transmission as a key enabler of AI-native air interfaces for 6G.
