(in English) Creation and elaboration of documents such as slides and academic papers are essential work in the process of research activities to organize outcomes and refine research directions. These document elaborations are carried out by parallelly conducting multiple tasks—such as surveys and discussions—that involve referencing and editing diverse documents. To effectively advance research, it is important to sufficiently understand elaboration contexts—including the work circumstances and histories, artifacts, and involved documents—and utilize them in subsequent work. However, these contexts become increasingly complicated and difficult to understand as the research duration becomes longer and the number of documents used increases. In this research, we have been aiming at developing a mechanism to support the understanding of elaboration contexts by accumulating users' work histories on a PC, and automatically generating a graph which represents the relationships between involved documents and screenshots embodying work scenes on the basis of analyzing the accumulated histories. In this paper, we mainly describe methods for automatic summarization of the elaboration context graph to address the increasing scale of elaboration contexts and facilitate their understanding.
