Digital Twin Update Based on Multi-hypothesis Mapping in 3D Mobile Crowdsensing

(in English) To realize smart cities, the utilization of digital twins that virtually recreate urban spaces is anticipated. However, maintaining their steady updates requires collecting vast amounts of spatial data from the city. Therefore, a 3D mobile crowdsensing framework has been proposed, where city residents collect 3D point clouds of the city to update the digital twin. However, there is an issue where pose estimation errors during point cloud registration affect subsequent estimations. This paper proposes a multi-hypothesis mapping method that manages multiple digital twin mapping results according to the order of point cloud merging in mobile crowdsensing, where multiple participants collect partial urban point clouds at different times.
