| 抄録 | （和） | 本稿は、福井県敦賀市における言語景観（Linguistic Landscape）の現状を調査し、インバウンド観光客の受入環境における課題と解決策を検討するものである。2024年の北陸新幹線延伸に伴い、敦賀市ではインバウンド需要が増加している。現地調査およびパンフレットの分析からは、主要ターゲットである台湾・香港（繁体字圏）や、歴史的背景を持つポーランド・イスラエル（ヘブライ語等）への戦略的な多言語対応が駅周辺や特定施設で見られる一方、市街地における回遊性を支える言語情報の不足や、在住外国人との言語ニーズの乖離が明らかとなった。本稿では、観光と定住の両面から言語景観を再構築する必要性を論じる。 |
| （英） | This paper investigates the current state of the linguistic landscape in Tsuruga City, Fukui Prefecture, and examines the challenges and potential solutions regarding the environment for welcoming inbound tourists. Following the extension of the Hokuriku Shinkansen in 2024, inbound tourism demand in Tsuruga City has been increasing. Fieldwork and an analysis of tourist pamphlets revealed that while strategic multilingual support targeting key markets such as Taiwan and Hong Kong (Traditional Chinese) and countries with historical ties like Poland and Israel (Hebrew, etc.) is evident around the station and specific facilities, there is a distinct lack of linguistic information to support excursions within the city centre. Furthermore, a discrepancy became apparent between the linguistic provisions for tourists and the actual needs of foreign residents. Consequently, this paper discusses the necessity of reconstructing the linguistic landscape from the dual perspectives of tourism and residency. | |
