In this study, we conducted co-creative virtual reality (VR) prototyping focusing on the design of a "comfortable classroom" based on students' own perspectives. Nine high school students were divided into three groups to conceptualize their ideal classroom designs, which were subsequently reconstructed in a VR space in collaboration with Dwango Co., Ltd. Furthermore, a comfort evaluation was conducted by other students who were not involved in the creation process. The results indicated that the student-designed classrooms tended to receive generally positive evaluations from their peers. Additionally, we analyzed the common elements and differences observed among the three classroom proposals, and discussed their potential applicability to VR education as well as their possible implementation in physical spaces. |
