This study proposes an integrated system for automatically reconstructing 3D scenes from monocular RGB images. Unlike conventional point cloud-based reconstruction requiring multiple images or depth sensors, our system adopts an object-level paradigm of recognition, segmentation, completion, and 3D modeling. The pipeline consists of five modules: VLM-based object detection, background removal and outpainting using generative AI, AKAZE feature matching for position localization, monocular depth estimation, and high-quality 3D model generation. Our system successfully reconstructs visually natural 3D scenes from single monocular images. |
