In recent years, the use of 3DCG (3-Dimensional Computer Graphics) content has expanded across various fields, leading to an increasing demand for 3D models. However, their production requires artistic skill, specialized knowledge, and significant cost. In particular, natural background objects are more difficult to obtain and more costly. To address this issue, automatic generation methods for background 3D models based on the fractal properties of natural forms and genetic algorithms have been proposed. Nevertheless, conventional methods suffer from the drawback of requiring substantial computation time for object generation. To overcome this problem, this study proposes a distributed processing system based on an island-model genetic algorithm. Performance comparisons between the conventional and proposed methods demonstrate that distributed processing reduces the time required for object generation. |
