This paper proposes a comprehensive workflow that automatically constructs 3D digital twins from raw LiDAR point cloud data for high-accuracy ray-tracing-based RF coverage simulations. We address key challenges such as point cloud denoising, surface meshing, and material assignment. The proposed system was evaluated in three distinct network environments: a controlled laboratory, a complex indoor environment, and an urban outdoor environment. Compared with real-world RF measurements, the coherent multipath simulation achieved a remarkable median absolute error (MedAE) of 0.1 dB. These results demonstrate that the proposed system enables measurement-level prediction accuracy, supporting rapid and cost-effective wireless network planning. |
