[Invited Talk] Tactile sensor and device harmonized with human tactile sensations

(in English) We have focused on human tactile function and developed tactile sensors and devices harmonized with human tactile sensations. First, an active sensing system for measuring tactile sensations is presented. Various tactile sensations are measured by the tactile sensor using the PVDF film. Then, a finger-mounted tactile sensor for detecting surface irregularity is presented. The human operator can easily detect the surface irregularity through the same motion as heretofore. Furthermore, a novel tactile device considering nail function is presented. This device deforms the nail and has a potential to change tactile sensitivity (enhance, decline, etc). The principle of this device is simple and it dose not intercept direct contact between the finger and the object.
