| 抄録 | （和） | 我々が開発したUS式英和機械翻訳システムを用いて中学３年生用英語教科書の７０文を翻訳させ、その翻訳経過を詳細に分析して次のことを発見した。２つの英語の文章（或いは句表現）が全く同一であっても、その前後の文脈に関係詞を含む節があるか無いかによって日本語への翻訳を微妙に訳し分ける必要があり、我々のUS式英和翻訳システムは日本語訳語に附加されている属性値を用いてそれを訳し分ける細かい注意を払っている．訳し分けの主なポイントを分類すると、英文法と日本語文法（国文法）で異なっている文法事項の主要な項目が網羅されている。 |
| （英） | Carefully examining the English-Japanese machine translation process of 70 sentences taken from a textbook for the third year grade junior high school students, we found the following facts. Even if two English sentences or expressions are exactly the same, they should be translated into Japanese slight differently according as they are modified by a relative clause or not. The machine translation system by US method which we have developed uses the attribute values attached to each translation word item in the dictionary to successfully translate these English sentences in question. The main points of the remarks on the translation of our present oexample sentences cover the major difference points between English and Japanese grammars. | |
