Effect of Intermittent Time on Fretting Corrosion of Tin Plated Coupon

(in English) Recently, there is a problem as increasing contact resistance by fretting corrosion in automobile connector. This increasing contact resistance is caused by the generation, oxidization and accumulation of abrasion powder by fretting corrosion. In order to solve these problems, the fretting corrosion test has been performed, and the analysis of the contact resistance has been studied conventionally. The fretting test is usually examined as a continuous repetition motion. However, in real vehicle environment, it is considered that the terminal in connector is considered to occur intermittent motion, thus in this study, the fretting corrosion test of tin plated coupon with intermittent time was examined. As results, by intermittent time, the starting cycle of contact resistance increasing is almost same as that of continuation fretting corrosion test but the maximum contact resistance value became higher than that of continuation fretting corrosion test.
