(in English) Japanese people have learned some very idiosyncratic techniques for understanding the meaning of foreign languages and have traditionally adopted them as techniques for translation. So they translate English into Japanese, as if English were Japanese written with English words, dividing sentences into Japanese meaning-blocks and translating into Japanese as in the reverse order. But we cannot translate English to Japanese effectively, much less Japanese to English. So we have to change the traditional concept of human linguistic utterances into a new one and analyze them in a new way.
I would like to make a proposal concerning an idea of translating one language into another, information-unit for information-unit.
